Review of Masoud Majzoobi's works | Curated by Didar Curating Team

11 – 25 October 2024

Artist: Masoud Majzoobi

Statement

The works of Masoud Majzoobi are a blend of design, mathematics, and geometry. His education in industrial design at the University of Art and his interest in mathematics led him to navigate between applied arts, fine arts, and mathematical proportions and His passion for astronomy and research into the aesthetics of geometric patterns in Iranian art opened up a new path for creating visual concepts. For over two decades, Majzoobi has explored his artistic concerns through various materials and mediums. This diversity stems from his experience in understanding different materials due to his field of study, as well as learning from the expertise of painting masters at the University of Art and the Charsoo Art Institute.
A selection of Majzoobi's diverse works, which fuse mathematical perspectives with a bridge between industrial design and painting, is on display in this collection. Another section of the exhibition (Upstairs) showcases the influence of painting on his furniture design.
