Statement
Loss is a universal and deeply human experience; so much so that one could argue the experience of loss is inseparable from the experience of being human. This human experience begins with the great loss of the mother’s womb and is filled with moments of losing, letting go, and longing for what is no more. The Aesthetics of Loss presents works born from reflection and dialogue; a conversation between curators and invited artists about the nature of loss and its personal and collective experiences.
